Aion 2 is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed and published by NCSoft, set 200 years after the events of Aion: The Tower of Eternity. Built on Unreal Engine 5, it returns players to the fractured world of Atreia — a planet split in two by an ancient cataclysm, with the winged Elyos inhabiting the sunlit south and the Asmodians adapted to the dark north.
The game features a hybrid combat system blending action-based mechanics with traditional tab-targeting, including rear-hit detection, dodging, blocking, and parrying. Players choose from eight classes — Gladiator, Templar, Cleric, Chanter, Ranger, Assassin, Sorcerer, and Elementalist — and can freely fly across a world map roughly 36 times larger than the original game's.
Content includes over 200 dungeons spanning solo, 4-player, and 8-player formats, alongside large-scale PvPvE zone combat in regions like the Abyss. Aion 2 launched in South Korea and Taiwan in November 2025, with a global PC release via Steam and NCSoft's Purple platform targeting late 2026.
