Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is a battle royale game developed by KRAFTON exclusively for players in India. It is the India-specific version of PUBG Mobile, featuring the same core gameplay but with regional customizations and compliance adjustments for the Indian market.\n\nIn BGMI, up to 100 players parachute onto a large map, scavenge for weapons and equipment, and fight to be the last person or team standing. The playable zone shrinks over time, forcing players into closer encounters as the match progresses. Players can compete in solo, duo, or squad modes across iconic maps.\n\nThe game was initially launched for Android in July 2021 and later for iOS in August 2021. After a period of suspension by Indian authorities in 2022, BGMI was relaunched in May 2023 and has since maintained a strong competitive scene in India with regular updates and esports tournaments.
