Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 is an action role-playing game developed and published by Grinding Gear Games, serving as a standalone sequel to the original Path of Exile. Set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast, the game follows a new cast of exiles across a brand-new six-act campaign while retaining the deep build-crafting and item economy that defined the original.

The game overhauls core mechanics with a new dodge-roll system, reworked skill gem socketing directly into skills rather than gear, and a redesigned endgame atlas of worlds. Combat emphasizes deliberate, tactical engagement rather than screen-clearing speed, drawing comparisons to modern action-RPG designs.

Path of Exile 2 entered Early Access in December 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a full free-to-play launch planned for a later date. It supports cross-platform play and features a shared economy with live seasonal leagues.
