About Rust
Rust is a multiplayer survival game developed by Facepunch Studios, released in early access in 2013 and fully launched in 2018. Players are dropped into a harsh open world with nothing but a rock and a torch, forced to gather resources, craft tools and weapons, and build shelters to survive against both the environment and other players.\n\nThe game features a fully persistent, player-driven world where bases can be raided, alliances formed and broken, and entire settlements built from scratch. The threat is constant — starvation, radiation, wildlife, and hostile players all compete to end your run.\n\nRust is known for its steep difficulty curve and unpredictable player interactions, ranging from cooperative clans to ruthless bandits. Wipe cycles reset servers periodically, giving all players a fresh start and making each wipe a highly anticipated event in the community.\n\nThe game supports a large modding and server ecosystem, with thousands of community servers offering custom rulesets, economy plugins, and gameplay mods. It is widely played on PC via Steam and is also available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
