These guidelines apply to all item listings on PlayerBay. Item listings must be accurate, safe, clearly described, and delivered exactly as promised.
Failure to follow these rules may result in listing removal, order cancellation, refunds, temporary suspension, permanent suspension, or loss of selling privileges.
Who Can Sell Items?
Any verified seller may list items on PlayerBay, as long as they meet the standard verification requirements outlined in the Seller Rules.
| Requirement | Rule |
|---|---|
| Seller Verification | Sellers must be verified before listing items. |
| Seller Rules | Sellers must follow PlayerBay’s standard Seller Rules and all item-specific listing rules. |
| Order Handling | Sellers must deliver the correct item within the stated delivery window. |
What Can Be Sold
Only digital in-game products may be listed in the Items category. The item must be clearly defined so buyers know exactly what they are purchasing.
| Allowed Item Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Skins and Cosmetics | Character skins, weapon skins, outfits, emotes, wraps, or other cosmetic items. |
| Accessories and Equipment | Weapons, armor, gear, pets, mounts, tools, or other usable in-game equipment. |
| Crafting Materials | Resources, materials, components, upgrade items, or crafting ingredients. |
| Consumables | Boosts, potions, passes, crates, packs, or other consumable in-game items, as long as the contents are clearly stated. |
| Limited Items | Limited or rare digital items with clearly defined attributes, such as exact rarity, edition, skin, quantity, or item name. |
What Is Not Allowed
The following item listings are strictly prohibited on PlayerBay.
- Random, mystery, or lottery-style offers, such as “open for a chance to get rare loot.”
- Bundles where the contents are unspecified, randomly determined, or not guaranteed.
- Physical products or non-digital goods.
- Items that cannot be transferred to the buyer.
- Listings that require off-platform communication, off-platform payment, or off-platform delivery arrangements.
- Misleading listings that exaggerate item rarity, value, quantity, or availability.
- Fake items, unavailable items, or items the seller does not actually own or control.
Item Listing Requirements
Item listings must be clear and specific. Buyers should be able to understand exactly what they will receive before placing an order.
| Listing Area | What to Include |
|---|---|
| Title | Use a short, accurate title that clearly identifies the item being sold. |
| Description | Describe the item’s exact name, quantity, game, platform, server, region, rarity, skin, edition, or other important attributes. |
| Images | Only use images you own, created yourself, or have permission to use. Images must accurately represent the item being sold. |
| Quantity | State the exact quantity being delivered. Do not use vague ranges or unclear amounts. |
| Restrictions | Disclose any trade limits, region locks, cooldowns, delivery requirements, or other limitations that may affect the buyer. |
Accuracy Rules
Listings must not use vague wording, placeholder text, or misleading claims. The product shown and described must match what the buyer receives.
- Do not use ranges such as “10k–50k” unless the buyer is guaranteed the exact amount purchased.
- Do not use vague labels such as “maybe rare,” “possible limited,” or “random value.”
- Do not use placeholder text or incomplete descriptions.
- Do not use fake screenshots or images that show items not included in the order.
- Do not list items as available unless you can actually deliver them.
Fulfillment and Delivery
Sellers must deliver items within the delivery time stated in the listing. Only mark an order as delivered after the item has been fully transferred to the buyer.
| Delivery Rule | What Sellers Should Do |
|---|---|
| Deliver on Time | Complete the order within the delivery window shown on your listing. |
| Deliver the Correct Item | Make sure the item, quantity, rarity, platform, server, and region match the listing and order details. |
| Confirm Buyer Details | Check the buyer’s username, character name, platform, server, or trade details before delivery. |
| Keep Proof | Save screenshots, videos, trade confirmations, or transaction logs in case the order is reviewed. |
| Mark Delivered Correctly | Only mark the order as delivered once the full item transfer is complete. |
If you are out of stock, unable to deliver, or unsure whether the buyer details are correct, contact the buyer through PlayerBay order chat or contact support before marking the order as delivered.
Violations and Penalties
Item category violations are reviewed based on severity, seller history, buyer impact, and whether the issue appears intentional.
| Violation | Possible Action |
|---|---|
| Misleading Listings | First offense may result in a warning, listing removal, refund, or suspension. Repeat offenses may result in extended suspension based on account history. |
| Fake Images or False Content | First offense may result in a warning, listing removal, refund, or suspension. Repeat offenses may result in extended suspension or selling restrictions. |
| Off-Platform Payment Requests | May result in immediate suspension on the first offense. |
| Delivery Failure | If the seller is out of stock, delivers the wrong item, becomes unresponsive, or fails to complete the order, a refund may be issued in the buyer’s favor. |
| Repeated Delivery Issues | Repeat offenses may result in restrictions from selling in the affected game category or broader account limitations. |
The Bottom Line
Item sellers are expected to create accurate listings, use honest images, deliver exactly what was promised, and keep clear records of each order.
Following these rules helps protect buyers, reduce disputes, and keep PlayerBay’s item marketplace safe and trustworthy.
PlayerBay reserves the right to take stronger action depending on the severity of the violation, including listing removal, refunds, selling restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent suspension, or balance holds in confirmed policy breach cases.
